The Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors credentials chemical dependency professionals at several levels.  CEU Matrix can provide the specific course packages for certification at all these levels.  All of our course packages were put together with full approval of the Board and fulfill the education requirements of their respective credentials.

CEU Matrix offers packages (see below) for initial certification of the following Kentucky credentials:

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Associate I (CADCAI) 40 hours, also requires a high school diploma or equivalent

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Associate II (CADCAII) 70 hours, requires a high school diploma and must have held a CADCAI for at least 8 months

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) 294 hours, also requires a bachelor’s degree or CADCAII/TCADC ready to take the ADC exam and already completed the required work experience, supervision, and training hours

Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) 294 hours, also requires 30 hour master’s degree in human services

In addition, all counselors must renew their credential every 3 years by completing 60 hours of continuing education hours.  The Kentucky Board allows you to complete 30 of these hours online.  We also have a 30 hour renewal package that allows you to choose your own courses from our library of over 100 courses.
